What I am working on at the moment

I am currently a Visiting Professor of Practice at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Montreal (McGill University), a Senior Fellow at the Agirre Center for Social and Political Studies (University of the Basque Country).

Why I wanted to join the Participatory City Global Advisory

I would be honoured to join the Advisory Board of the Participatory City project because this collaboration will change the way  community transformation projects are being designed, implemented and evaluated internationally. The scale and ambition of this project are fenomenal and I would love to make a contribution and share the learning.

A little bit about my background

Until this summer, I have been the Director of Places and International Affairs at The Young Foundation and a Senior Fellow at the Agirre Lehendakaria Center for Social and Political Studies, a Columbia University (AC4-Earth Institute) and the University of the Basque Country partnership to share internationally the Basque case of socio-economic transformation under extreme difficulties. I am also a founding partner of Social Innovation Laboratory Koop and a member of the International Advisory Group of INCORE (University of Ulster and United Nations University). Previously I was the Head of International Programmes at Innovalab (Bilbao Social Innovation Park), and I also served as Special Adviser to the Executive Office of the Basque President. I initiated his professional career in Elkarri, the Movement for Dialogue and Accord in the Basque Country. Additionally I am the author of “Pluja Seca” (TV3 2011) and “Parlem les Lluls” (TV3 2012) documentaries.
