THE WAREHOUSE

The Warehouse is a place for everyone.

It’s one of the biggest shared open access workshops  in the UK and is in Barking and Dagenham.

It’s a new type of shared workspace with lots of exciting equipment. The Warehouse has different types of spaces and machinery, for woodwork, digital design, fashion and fabrics, for cooking in an industrial kitchen, co-working and learning spaces.

The Warehouse is a space for everyone to get involved in. Big people, small people, young people, old people, tea makers, tea drinkers and of course….you! The 3,300 m2 building  houses loads of different workshops and shared spaces in which people of Barking & Dagenham can work, learn, share, grow, develop, teach and play together.

The Warehouse is much-like a public library or a park; essential for people to survive and thrive and to learn and earn. Everyone that comes to The Warehouse is part of looking after the space and each other, and sharing theirs, skills, energy and enthusiasm.

EVERY ONE EVERY DAY

The Warehouse is part of the Every One Every Day project in the borough, a network of thousands residents working together to make their neighbourhoods brilliant, and to create the kinds of places where we all want to live.

As well as four neighbourhood shops that house hundreds of hands-on activities, Every One Every Day operates a makerspace in Thames Ward that is a home for big projects and collaborative business opportunities.

MINI MAKERS IN THE WAREHOUSE

Young people are integral to everything we do, and families and young people are welcome in all of our spaces. The Warehouse is set up specially to accommodate little people, with a Mini Makers area equipped with everything families need to make, play and create.

The co-working space is an excellent place to do homework or study and the workshops are accessible with support by a guardian or with consent.

We encourage families to meet each other, so when mum wants to use the workshops another parent can look after your child while they learn and play in the Mini Makers area.
